Lucy & friends, New Year 2016/7
Lovely cottage in an amazing location, right next to the sea with otters playing on the rocks and in the garden. A comfy place to stay with plenty of room for 4, a cosy sitting room with a log-burning stove and big windows looking out over the Sound of Mull. We climbed a few hills, had a few walks by the coast, and just enjoyed being in the Scottish countryside for a week. The owners were friendly and made us feel welcome too. Recommended!

Wow - the lodge is a truly amazing location with fantastic views, we loved it. The lodge is very comfortable and clean with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and stunning views from the kitchen, living room and the conservatory.
We had daily visits from an otter, on our first day watching it feed in the water. We also spotted a white tailed sea eagle flying by, porpoise, seals, numerous wee birds on the lawn and even a flyby from a jet!
A morning cup of tea on the lawn spotting was the ideal way to start the day. We hope to return very soon and would recommend it to anyone.

We had an amazing time at Salen and loved both Pier Point and the Lodge. The children had a great time jumping off your pier and all nine of us made it to the top of Ben More. The fishermen were amazing with the children, and we enjoyed learning about the scallops, and the free tasters that we were taught how to prepare. We would also like to say what an amazing experience they had on the Flying Dutchman, it was absolutely brilliant; they all had a go at steering and hoisting sails, and lay on the rigging up on the bow. We caught a glimpse of the otter too, and managed to get a couple of photos. We would definitely like to return one day and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the accommodation to our friends.

The lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. The kitchen was especially well equipped with pots and pans. The beds were also comfortable. The views are amazing we watched an otter playing in the sea most mornings, then on the last day it caught a fish and brought it onto the rocks to eat.

We have visited Mull on many occasions and it is always a fabulous place to explore.

We have already recommended the lodge to family and friends. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

We have just returned from a week staying at Salen Pier Lodge, I have to say that the cottage was absolutely lovely, with totally uninterrupted views of Mull Sound and around to the hills behind Salen.
Views that change with the mood of the weather, but never get boring.
The Lodge is very well appointed, and most importantly has very comfortable beds and a lovely hot shower!
The Lodge is ideally located for exploring the whole island, there is a well stocked shop in the village and a pub / hotel and restaurant for meals.
For anyone who is interested there is a great little shop in Tobermory that stocks all the bits for making your own design sticks.

We have just spent a wonderful week at Salen Pier Lodge.
The property is amazing and really well equipped. Views through the floor to ceiling windows and conservatory are spectacular. All furnishings are comfortable and there is every appliance. We enjoyed our week and our little dog spent hours looking out through the windows.
There are a number of good eating establishments close by and many walks. The Spar and Post Office are very close by. We did not need to use the log burning fire but I am sure that it will be wonderful in the winter months.

we had a wonderful stay at Salen Pier Lodge ... fantastic place, really comfortable and great views ... couldn't ask for more. We managed to see the Otter on the first day and last day (this time he was out of the water on the rocks), but also saw a Hen Harrier a couple of times, and on the morning we left a short ear owl ... just brilliant.

We loved Mull ... fantastic scenery, wonderful wildlife, great walks and we did a great trip out to Staffa and Lunga Islands ... Managed to see White Tailed Eagles on 3 occasions

Thanks for a lovely stay, we enjoyed it very much and were impressed by the lodge. I think you need more space in the visitors book for all the praise you deserve!
We had nice days out to Duart, Torosay, Calgary bay, Tobermory and Aros park. We enjoyed seeing what we could find by leaving fish traps on the pier. I had a particularly nice fishing trip walking to the lighthouse from Tobermory and catching a 3 1/2 lb pollock, this made a nice tea for the family. We bought some scallops from the Ethical Seafoods man on the pier which were very nice indeed and I can recommend buying some mussels from Loch Spelve to other visitors, super fresh and good value.

Salen Pier Lodge makes a great base for exploring Mull. It is very modern and has all the facilities that you might need. The location, just a few metres from the waters edge, is both peaceful & picturesque. Wildlife is literally on the doorstep. we saw various birds, harbour porpoise and otter right from the lodge itself.
