Salen Pier on the Island of Mull has now established itself as a regular location for many Dive clubs in the UK.
With 4 properties providing high quality accommodation from 14 beds to 2 beds it is an ideal location for a week (or more!) diving holiday. We can sleep up to 26 persons.

When planning a weeks scuba diving, Scotland/Mull was on the bucket list to dive and we were delighted discovering Salen Pier Holidays. Able to facilitate 14 guests in the house and have use of the private boat launch we were able to make the weeks diving trip a reality.
The house or location did not disappoint.
Although accomodating the full house with 14 people, it was very spacious and we weren’t short of space around the house for everyone. It was cosy, clean and comfortable. The large porch with the hanging space was perfect for storing our dive suits etc and meant we didnt have to worry about having wet dive gear inside the house.
When not diving, the accomodation and local ameneties were excellent too. Able to enjoy downtime in the hot tub, reading in the conservatory or watching a film in the living room. A short walk to the end of the lane takes you to a well stocked Spar shop, local pub and coffee shop/bakery. 20 minute drive one direction to Tobermory and 20minutes the opposite direction to Craignure Ferry terminal.
An hours car journey across the island to Calgary Beach was recommended by others in the group too.
The location was perfect for diving too. Mooring the boats proved slightly tricky as we had difficulty finding the mooring point, but the launch slip was fantastic. So we were able to bring the boats in and out with ease during high tide. We did a couple of shore dives around the pier – millions of scallop shells and jellyfish around there. We headed over to dive the SS Rhondo Shipwreck which is where the lighthouse can be seen in the distance (Green Isles). We saw lots of sea life around Fiunary Rocks too, even spotted seals and otters on the rocks before we got in the water.
All in all it was a fantastic week made perfect because of the facilities at Salen Pier House. We are looking forward to returningĀ inĀ theĀ future.
With a private slipway and 9mtr dives off the head of the pier at slack high water then clubs do training at the location.
