Set in a quiet residential area of Es Castell the apartment has an East facing terrace.
The family have owned the apartment for 35 years and during the off season of 2017 to 2020 extensive refurbishment has been carried out.
The apartment sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, with a refurbished shower room (2017).
The lounge, dining and kitchen areas were updated in 2020 with Fridge/Freezer, Induction & Gas cooker, wine fridge and sink.

Private sun terrace approx 2.7m x 5.2m with renewed tiles to match the rest of the apartment. 
At the entrance door is another seating area with cupboard for washing machine.
Private (cul de sac) road side parking at entrance side and adjacent to garage at front.

Front door  – Access is via a thumb/finger key pad or key fob.

Electricity – The fuseboard is located behind the picture (left) above the sofa in the lounge.

Music/sound system – This is operated by a Sonos App

Shower room – refurbished to a high standard. Hansgrohe shower and mirror with Radio built in!

Hot water supplied from main tank, that is heated first thing in the morning – should be plenty for all day!

Bedroom – The guest room is situated on the left of the shower room. Spare bedding and towels can be found in the wardrobe.

Oven, Hob & kitchen appliances – Please do not use the oven as this will blow the main fuse (Spanish power supplies!!). Please use the induction hob only and not the gas (gas turned off outside).

You are welcome to use the microwave, kettle, coffee machine (using Nespresso pods) and milk frother. When cleaning the milk frother, please DO NOT submerse in water as it will damage the electrical components inside – only clean the top section. Thanks!

The kitchen is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, mugs and glasses.

Ceiling fans

The switches for the ceiling fan and light in the main living room are on the left of the archway leading to the bathroom/bedrooms.

The ceiling fan in the guest room is operated by a remote control which can be found on the bedside table. Turn on by the door first, leave on, then just use the remote for light and fan speeds. On departure, please remove the battery from this unit and place on the bedside table with the remote. 

Patio

Barbeque, gas powered – turn gas value on bottle to RED to use, and then when finished back to GREEN.

Washing line and clothes airer. Pegs are on the shelf by the square Cruzcampo table in the living room.

Please put all chairs/Cruzcampo table/clothes airer back in the apartment at the end of your stay. The view from here is rather nice – this is live….

Cleaning

Vacuum cleaner is located in the cupboard under the oven and there is a dustpan and brush in the living room.

Cleaning supplies are in the cupboards under the kitchen and bathroom sinks.

Rubbish

We don’t use the current rubbish collection service in Es Castell.

Please take your rubbish to any recycling bin areas that you come across while travelling around the island.

The nearest bins are:

Campsa roundabout on the way into Mahon – at the start of the Mahon ‘ring road’!!

There are also bins at the following locations:

  • On the access road close to Son Parc beach   
  • Santo Tomas beach car park next to Es Bruc cafe/restaurant
  • Es Mercadel 
  • Binibeca
  • Es Grau

Locking up at the end of your stay

At the end of your stay, when you leave the apartment please empty the fridge/freezer of all perishable food/drinks.

Please leave all drawers, cupboards and inside doors open to ensure circulation of air while the property is empty.

Please put all used bedding/towels in a pile near the front door so that they can be washed.

All green shutters need to be closed and if you are the last guests to leave at the end of the season, please also close the windows in the bedrooms and living room but leave the kitchen window open (with green shutters closed) and leave the fridge and freezer doors open as the electricity will be turned off..
